At first sight, Skye, the new tangle of Margaret Bremner seemed to be a difficult one and I had to exercise a lot but when I understood the logic steps, it was not so difficult anymore, I like this pattern and you can make many variations.  As you can see, I used this tangle as a border. I filled the lines with Tipple and finished my tile with black,  grey, white and golden accents.

Arranging skye in the round looks very challenging and tricky to me, but the result looks beautiful. Dark spots and highlights are very well Basel.

Thank you for the nice compliment. I admit that I have exercised a lot but when I understood the logic steps, it was not so difficult anymore and I even prefered to meke a drawing in the round!

Thank you Lily, Skye is a nice and beautiful pattern with lots of possibilities but I had really to focus very hard to understand the logical steps.

Dear Rebecca, thank you so much for your comment. I like to say that I also love your tiles, especially the Skye in the corners is very nice and well done, unfortunately I’m not on the social media and I can’t give you reply by that way.

Wow! You have totally mastered Skye to be able to use it as a round border. I wish you could teach me the logic that you found in it. This is absolutely wonderful!

Thank you Jennifer for the nice compliment you gave me, I must admit that I struggled hours to see the logic steps, but once you see that, this tangle is not so difficult to do.

Your tile is really great and I like the way you used Skye as a border! Wonderful colours with good contrast and highlights in it – wonderful work 🙂

      Ria Matheussen says:

Thank you Sandra for this nice compliment. In the beginning, I had a real struggle with Skye to learn but suddenly I saw how the differnt steps have to be made and then it became a lot easier to draw.
I liked to draw this pattern in a circle, it is not so difficult as it seems!

    Annemarie says:

  20. 11

My oh my. You certainly mastered Skye to be able to use it so beautifully as a zendala border. Your composition is so pretty and ornamental. I’m impressed!

Beautiful done in the round. I always hesitate to go in that direction as I always seem to have too much or too little space for the last one. Yours is perfect!

    • 10
      Ria Matheussen says:

Thank you Jean, I saw the steps in the round on Margarets blog and I thought that would be easier than drawing in a straight direction. After some exercises, all of a sudden, I understood the logic of this pattern and I made it that way and here is the result.

    Maddy says:

Congratulations to a beautiful tile! It is so pretty!

    chantal says:

This is so pretty, you could wear it as a brooch.
