On this tile, the olympic logo is the most important item. I just add ribbons in gold, silver and bronze by the pattern Gravee. I ‘d like to create a nice border and I’ve found inspiration in the new book Primer (Rick and Maria). I ‘ve read the chapter Reticula and fragments and there I saw the fragments Z6 and X7 to complete the tile.

Lovely!
Thank you Susan. It is nice to receive comments from people from all over the world.
That is a lovely border and I especially like the way the rings look like they are floating in a sky above metallic mountains!
Thank you very much Julie for this nice compliment. Using fragments as a border is not difficult and I like this discovery of the Zentangleart.
I love your tile and the frame is gorgeous. I don’t have the Primer Vol. 1, but I think it’s really a good idea for a Christmas gift :)).
The frame is very easy to draw when you know the fragments, published in the Primer. I ‘ve learned a lot by reading this book. Thank you for your nice comment.
Ria, your tile is beautiful. I love the colors you used and how you used the Retcula and Fragments. I absolutely love Rick and Maria’s Primer I. I’ve gone through it once and now I need to practice what I’ve learned. I’m sorry this took so long to leave a comment, but I’ve been out of town and I’ve been too busy to get to this challenge. But then another Monday is coming up fast. I’ll see what I can come up with then.
Thanks so much for making time to give me a comment. I’m glad you have the Primer. It is a fantastic book and I’ve learned a lot, thanks to this book. Now I’m busy with the reticula and fragments; not difficult and very relaxing to draw in this way.
Very nice tile Ria 🙂 I like the flower-border!
Thank you Sandra, I’ve found inspiration for this border in the new book of Rick and Maria: The Primer (chapter Reticula and Fragments)
Nice tile Ria and love your border! That’s something I don’t do very often but shall try it…it really adds to your tile! ?
Hi Patty, do you remember on the 22 nd seminar, when Rick was telling about the M5 and we have to turn this fragment? I did it totally wrong, but now, I read again the chapter about the fragments and it is very pleasant and relaxing using this fragments. Thanks for your comment and I’m glad you like my tile.
Wonderful tile and the frame is perfect for it!
Hugs, Annette
I love your approach to this and the border is just beautiful. I like the random pops of colour echoing the rings.
By the way my mail arrived, thank you!
I think I’m going to put the primer book on my Christmas wish list.
The primer as a Christmas gift is a good choice. I’ve learned a lot by reading this book.
I like to draw with “fragments”, as you can see, I’ve used a few on the border, I’m glad you like it.
What a beautiful tile, Ria! The frame is just perfect!
Thank you Simone, I’ve just used some “fragments”, very pleasant and relaxing.
Well done! I love the way you kept it simple!
Thanks Anita, this was a difficult chalenge with these colored rings, so I decided not to draw to much, I’m glad you like it
I have a copy of the Primer 1 Zentangle book by Rick and Maria, but I need to devote more time to studying it. I really like the composition you did in response to this week’s Zentangle Diva’s challenge. Clean and elegant.
Thank you Suzanne, The Primer is really a wonderful book with lots of new information and very inspiring!
This is such a great tile! I really love how you used the fragments in the frame.
Thank you Michele, I love these new technique Reticula and fragments and it was fun to drawn some!
Gold medal for you! Love it!
Thank you Dorita, what nice of you to say that!
Lovely and your Reticula and fragments set off your tile beautifully.
Thank you Danni, the reticula and fragments were new for me, but I really enjoyed using them in a tile!
I really like this tile, Ria. The border is a great addition and I like the soft interior colors. Those little colored orbs pull out the ring color too.
Thank you Jean.I like the new technique Reticula and Fragments and it was fun to use some fragments!
