During the summer, this flower has flourished a long time in our garden. There were so many,( they grow very easily). I took a few and let them dry. Now I have glued one on a card and tangled Tripoli around. It is an uncomplicated easy work but I am  satisfied and I am sure that I can make someone happy with this card. You have to pay attention, the flower is fragile.

Thank you Laura for these kind words. This was not so difficult, searching a nice flower, let dry and just tangling around. Tripoli is one of the best tangles to do this because it is such a versatile one but it is possible with a lot of others too…

Beautiful! Tripoli reminds me of flowers, so the pattern naturally lends itself to blossoms. But to use actual flowers?! Lovely.

    Melena says:

Very beautiful Ria. I love how you put that flower in there and tangled around it. Great idea that I may just use next spring when we get the flowers again. I love your Tripoli and the colors you used that go so well with the flower. You do such nice work.

    • 17
      Ria Matheussen says:

Thank you for this nice compliment Melena. You can do that with every flower, with every tangle, but I really like Tripoli because this tangle is so versatile and gives so many possibilites. I like to combine Zentangle with other materials.
In the beginning Tripoli was not so easy to draw, but when I understood this pattern, it became one of my favorites.
I like your DIva’s tile too, uncomplicated and well balanced with nice contrasts.

Thank you Karen, I agree, it looks a bit like Molygon. You could do the same with that tangle and probably with others too!
