A long time ago, I have seen a duotangle of Joy and Indy Rella, made by Sandy Hunter. I did like that very much and decided to use this “double pattern” in one of my future tiles and now I did so. I’ve also chosen for the lovely pattern El Prado and of course again Tipple, which I draw a lot to give a “final touch”. I have worked on this Renaissance tile with sepia and black pens and colored with orange, and purple pencils. For the highlights I’ve used a white chalkpencil and a white gellypen.

Thank you Suzanne. Keeko is a lovely pattern, it was fun to draw and because I have new colorpencils I’d like to use them. I’m glad you like the result.

Thank you Julie, it’s very nice “to meet” regulary by this way.
In fact every tangle can be transformed into a Hybrid or a duo and so you can create a new tangle by yourself. I saw this combination from Sandy Hunter and loved it immediately but take a look on the site of Simone Menzel. She has made wonderful combo’s. Germans call that “Muster mix”.

This is such a pretty tile, Ria! I love the colors, the composition, the choice of tangles. And the shading/highlighting on Keeko is extraordinary!

Thank you very much Michele. All tangles can be mixed together to get a Hybridtangle or a duotangle. Simone Menzel has done this beautiful and showed many examples on her webside: in Germany they say: “Mustermix” . This duo was made for the first time by Sandy Hunter.
It is a nice challenge to combine different tangles with each other, and also discover a lot of new possibilities, the results can be wonderful!

Ria, your tile is beautiful. I see that you used the curved lines for Keeko – great minds think alike. I did that too. I really like the puffy look it gives. The other tangles you used work really well with this. I love the combination of Indy Rella and Joy. I love seeing what you do with the Diva Challenge.
