We had to draw stripes this time. Curling Stircles looked to me perfect for this challenge. Some spaces are filled with Jetties, in others I only used very pale yellow and orange colourpencils. I cut a little  tile (7×7 cm) out of grey paper and another one in normal sizes of yellow paper to receive an equal background. I have glued the little tile on the bigger one and to finish I have drawn a few lines and tipples. This was a lovely challenge that I enjoyed very much.

Ria, your interpretation of the challenge is so unique and beautiful. I love the way you have used Strircles as your string and the jetties inside the orbs is such a wonderful idea. I may have to try this if you wouldn’t mind. It just looks so amazing, and the colors you used work so well together. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you Michele, Stircles is such an easy but lovely pattern to draw, that is why I have chosen this tangle together with Jetties (in fact only tipples) but I have enjoyed making this tile and I’m glad you like the result.

I love this tile Ria! Just using two tangles made it very concentrated! And the touch of color is perfect!

Oh, I love this tile, Ria, I can see that you enjoyed drawing it. I mean, just look at the tiny little jetties….jeez, your heart needs to be in it to draw them so perfectly. Your black and white circles make for a great 3D effect without the help of shading. This is another example of the KISS method advocacy: less is sometimes more. This is a wonderful art piece!

Thank you Susie for this wonderful comment. I love to draw circles big and little ones. Stircles is a lovely pattern which I frequently use and as you wrote, here is no need to shade. Sometimes I like to draw very easy tiles, just to relax and so was this challenge for me. I’m glad you like the result.
