For this 229 the challenge of Adele Bruno, a beautiful heart was chosen to use as a string. The suggested tangles were: Tipple, Caught and Olluan. I decided to create a few layers and started to draw on a small grey tile. After finished, I glued it on a bigger black tile, followed by another grey one and finished with a black one. I have drawn with a black pen and coloured with white, yellow, orange, red and purple colourpencils. A white charcoal and a white gellypen gave the final touch.

I just love this, Ria! Not a big fan of hearts, I love the bold red one on the contrasting tiles, and the delicate “Caught” tucked behind it all. <3

Thank you Jennifer, me too am not a big fan of hearts but in Februar I couldn’t resist to join a few challenges with hearts, but now, it is time to use other tangles.

This is excellent, Ria! Love the idea with the layered tiles and the heart is beautifully colored. This is one of those LESS IS MORE cases that jump out from the crowd. Well done!

I love this Ria! The coloring and highlight on your central heart is fantastic and I just love the contrast of the layering;-)

Thank you very much Michele. For me the heartstring was a bit to great and therefore I chose to make stacked tiles for this challenge. I’m glad you like the result.
