This week,” I have two birds with one stone”. On the first tile in the front, you can see the string that Joey suggested to use and the pattern Didada. This afternoon, when I visited Laura‘s site, I saw that she asked to use random found objects around us to create our own string. I saw 3 “Bijoux”  on the table and used them as a string on an apprenticetile. Beside Didada, you can notice Verve, Catkin, Hollibaugh, Onomato, Scallamps, Tripple Tipple and Narwal. I have drawn only with a black pen and finished with ordinary colourpencils, a white charcoal and a white gellypen. I enjoyed those challenges!

Like the color in your tiles. Adds a nice touch. Nice work on the tangles. Some you used, I am not familiar with.

The tangle Didada was asked to use on JOey’s weekly challenge. Me too, didn’t know this pattern but it is a pretty and easy one. I think the other ones are all on
Thank you for your kind words and I wish you a happy new year in good health and many Tanglepleasure!

Thank you very much Gudrun, those two were pleasant challenges and I think we all enjoyed them very much. That is what I think when I saw your original tile for the Diva with a lovely Wud and Rick’s Paradox, well done but my favorite is your entry for Joey. That tile has a real flow that I love and the same for your wonderful calendar page ( 10/11/12/1), tangled so beautiful in those sunny colors!!! There is so much progress in your work!

Hello Ria, your three Bijoux tiles are really wonderful together! I love the colours you used and the highlights on the patterns. Very nice 🙂

Thank you Sandra for this nice compliment. The Bijoux were laying in front of me and it was pure coïncidence to put those two challenges into one by using this little tiles.

Dank je wel Annemarie voor deze fijne commentaar. Ik “speel” graag met kleurpotloden en het is altijd opnieuw een beetje afwachten wat het wordt. De ene keer lukt het al wat beter dan de andere keer…

Wow! That’s a lot of tangles. I like your use of subdued colors with the multitude of tangles. And congratulations on “killing two birds with one stone”—kind of a violent metaphor, but it’s in English, so I guess that’s to be expected. Happy New Year from the USA.

I’m so sorry that I can’t give a comment on Flickr because I’m not on any social media but I saw your tile and I like it very much, especially the screwdriver is original and wonderfull filled with Dewd.
Wish you all the best for the new year and hope you will have a lot of pleasure and many lovely tanglemoments!

    Stunning, Ria! Simply S T U N N I N G !!!! The idea, the execution, the tangle choices, and – of course – a beautiful Di-daaaaaa-da-daaaaa-da.

      Ria Matheussen says:

Oh, thank you very much Susie for your kind feedback, I’m so glad you like my result, two challenges combined into one. The string, Joey suggested opened so many ways to fill the tile. I liked her challenge immediately and after reading Laura’s post, I knew how I could combine the two. Sometimes I have to think over and over and I’m not always satisfied but now, it was finished in a very short time… and that on the worst day of the year (some people say that but I don’t believe in that bullshit)

      • 33

Ria! RIA!!! Mai oh mai!!! “Bullshit”? You surprise me! That is not “zen-like”, but if you insist, write “bullsh**”. So much more polite! Hahaha!!!!!
        Just kidding.
As for your 1 for 2: I think your handicap makes you think of solutions where you can combine challenges. I don’t even think of doing it…..yet!

        • 34
          Ria Matheussen says:

Thanks for your advise to write “bullsh¨¨” in a correct way (LOL)
Last monday, I was just a bit lazy and I saw a way to combine two challenges in one tile, that is all. It is not always possible but in this case I am satisfied and I’m glad you like the result too.
          Worthwhile to try Susie
Wish I was in Thailand, at the moment, it is snowing, very windy and cold…in “lovely” Belgium

Mooie Compositie en een evenwichtige verdeling tussen donker en licht, tangle en kleur. Erg mooi geworden Ria.

    Joyce says:

Ooooh, I really like that. So clever of you to use the three Bijou tiles, it worked out so well. I love the way you have the long tangle, Scallamps, I think?, flowing thru two tiles, and also the fact that you’ve done Didada on all three tiles. Really gorgeous results, Ria!!

      Ria Matheussen says:

Thank you so much dear Joyce for this nice compliment. Scallamps is such a lovely tangle, you can make this pattern as long and curly as you wish and I used the same patterns in the tree tiles just to get a kind of connection. I’m glad you like my result.
