The Christmas decorations are put away and the new year’s wishes are sent.
A new chapter has begun: 2016!
“Ourdiva posted already the first “challenge. 5 years ago she started her successful blog and the first challenge of the new year is a combination of the Diva Dance patterns and Aura knot, a drawing with only two tangles.
Below you can see my entry (# 22): a circle, cut out from watercolor paper. I have made with watercolor paint shades of blue, with a black pen were 5 stars (Aura knot) drawn, for each year 1 star and I finished with gold accents. At least, the tile is divided by a string of Diva Dance.

Traditionally, new year’s resolutions are made at the beginning of the year.
I just want to try living more “mindful, every day again. A few years ago I followed a 8 weekly course mindfulness and I have learned a lot. I get less than 10 out of 10 but with small steps I’m going ahead and with a nice 7 or even a 6 at the end of the year I would be very happy. I will not take part in multitasking. Prefer the things consciously do one by one with the necessary attention.
It’s not as easy as it seems, especially if you‘re used to do different things together, but I‘m sure, if the motivation is there, I will succeed.
Zentanglart is a fine example. You really can’t follow  a movie on TV and in the meantime make a drawing . No, to tangle asks for your full attention when drawing, quiet, relaxed but concentrated.
By exercising regularly; I’m sure you will succeed and you will discover  the positive effects of Mindfulness.

A good challenge, for example, is creating a drawing with very little tangles: 3, 2 or even one, a real Monotangle. You will wonder how many opportunities you can achieve with a minimum of patterns!

I have found next drawing on the Internet. From the striking black strings only one colored tange was drawn in pastel: Mooka.

In the second example, no strings were used. It’s a beautiful, black/white design, consisting of only one tangle: Mak-rah-mee. The shadow gives just that little bit more depth. At first glance, this tangle seems difficult but learn him step by step. Anyone can do it, really.

I show you a few of my own tiles:

In my first example I chose the tangle Tripoli (with variations) and the pleasant pattern Henna Drum makes the whole a bit more playful. By using  a golden gelpen, (I like that very mutch) you add something extra.

This drawing was done in less than 15 minutes. It is simple drawing, built with a nice, easy tangle (ixorus) and finished with a few accent in black, grey and green. This  tangle I’ve also used in circle shape in the header of my website.
You can find out patterns on the well-known site or look in your own legend, choose one or two tangles and just start drawing, step by step, caring and focused … and admire your unique result!

This time I do not write a quote but I show you a great piece of music of Madredeus, recorded on and between the islands  Faial and Pico (Azores)
Try to enjoy equally mindful of the pure clear voice of Teresa, I just get goosebumps, so beautiful and pure!

The warm and sunny days are gone for a while but making a nice walk can also be very pleasant to give you a boost, It is true, even on a rainy day, it gives you new energy. Please do it now and than and enjoy!
